The Brick Street Blues Band will play a benefit Blues, Soul, and Rock 'n' Roll show October 23, 2021 at Maklemore's in Nacogdoches. Proceeds from all ticket sales will go to our dear friend, Gwen, to help support her young daughter named GG, who is in a serious battle with leukemia. Many of you know Gwen as a bartender at many of our past Maklemore's shows. Gwen has always loved our band and given 110% effort to make sure that everyone who comes to see the band received the best service at the show. Now, it is our turn to give back. Gwen is focused on giving 110% support to her daughter to make sure she has the best life possible and gets to enjoy a fun trip, and we want to help. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. The music starts at 7:30 as Jacob Barnhill and friends play an instrumental set of Rhythm & Blues followed by the Brick Street Blues Band at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and at the door (while they last) at www.brickstreetbluesband.com/schedule. Friends, the time has come to give the Blues Jam a rest. Over the past 14 months the Blues Jam has brought together dozens of musicians and hundreds of music fans. A BIG THANK YOU to The Liberty Bell Bar for hosting the Jam and making it all possible. It's been fun, but it's time for the Jam organizers to take a break. So, there will be no more Nacogdoches Blues Jams until further notice. Stay connected to this page for future announcements. Come enjoy some great food and great music at the Nacogdoches Blues Jam this Thursday, June 9th at the Liberty Bell. The Brick Street Blues Band will be the house band and start things off at 8 pm. Friends, as you know, Mark and Randy got the Blues Jam started last summer. Shortly after that they formed the Brick Street Blues Band and have been performing regularly in Nacogdoches and also in Longview and Lufkin.
