How Ironic that our 2026 Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon and Coastal 5k Medal featured a Giant Sun!

When we designed this year’s medal we had no idea that the sun would make a grand total of ZERO appearances on race day.

Or Did It?

Maybe we were just looking in the wrong place. The Sun it turns out was bright and shining all race long in the smiles, cheers, and determination of our staff, volunteers, police and medical, and most of all YOU - the Runners.

As staff, we are ALWAYS amazed and inspired by you and yesterday hit a new level. To see runners toe the line in less than ideal conditions and do it with joy and spirit makes us remember what’s best about life.

Life isn’t about perfect conditions, perfect times, perfect circumstances. It’s about having our best days in the middle of imperfection.

Thank You for reminding us all!!!
