🌶️The Mother Road is calling…

In celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Route 66, the International Chili Society is proud to launch the year-long Mother Road Chili Championship, a season of cook-offs honoring America’s most iconic highway and the chili cooks who keep its spirit alive.

From Illinois to Arizona to California and beyond, eligible Route 66 events will award points throughout 2026, leading to the crowning of a Mother Road Chili Champion; earning qualification in all four categories at WCCC59 and MORE!!🏆

👏 Ben Ogle brought the crowd together with bold flavor and took home People’s Choice honors
🔥 Jared Cox impressed the judges to earn Best in Show

Both champions have secured their Golden Tickets to compete at WCCC59, coming January 2027 at a location to be announced! Special thanks to Chili Legends Kevin Foley, Don Cullum, and Karen Cullum for joining the fun.

🔥New ICS-sanctioned event has been added to the calendar in Lynchburg, Tennessee. Don't Miss It!!!

The inaugural "It's Still Chili Cook-off" will be held April 25th alongside Lynchburg's 30th Annual Spring in the Hollow Festival. Categories include Traditional Red, Homestyle with Jack, Kid's Cook, and Squire's Only.

The 59th World Championship Chili Cook-off will return as a standalone event in early 2027, marking the conclusion of the 2025–26 chili season. After listening closely to Chili Nation, the International Chili Society is bringing WCCC back to its own dedicated stage... bigger, bolder, and built for competitors and fans alike. 🔥

🏆This reimagined return will include People’s Choice sampling, fan engagement, and new programming elements designed to celebrate the very best in competitive chili cooking.

Feeding thousands of fans world-champion chili is no small feat, but the incredible Chili Challenge crew made it look easy! Their energy, smiles, and love for FoodSport kept the crowds coming back all weekend long at WFC2025 and WCCC58.

We’re grateful for their hard work, their hospitality, and their passion for showcasing the very best in championship chili.
