Our Community Craft & Flea Market at Sardis Volunteer Fire Company is finally HERE and we could not be more excited!! ❤️🚒

Our Community Craft & Flea Market at Sardis Volunteer Fire Company is almost here — and we already have OVER 55 SPOTS SOLD! 🤯❤️

🛍️ Handmade Vendors

🍞 Sourdough & Baked Goods
🕯️ Candles & Décor

🍔 Food Truck

We would still LOVE to add:
🐶 A homemade dog treat vendor

🚒 Don’t forget our KIDS HOUR at 10AM & 1PM where kids can check out the fire trucks, meet firefighters, and make some awesome memories!

⏰ LAST DAY for PRE-REGISTRATION will be WEDNESDAY, MAY 6TH.

After May 6th, we will only accept WALK-IN vendors if space allows. Walk-ins MUST bring their own tents due to the possibility of outdoor setup if spots fill too quickly.

LITTLE THROWBACK…

In 1957, about 30 local men came together with one goal—to bring fire protection to the Sardis community.

There was no station yet.
Meetings were held in a local school, and early equipment was even housed at a nearby service station while plans were put into place.

On January 2, 1958, ground was officially broken for the first station—built largely by the members themselves.

By 1967, a small but fully functional station stood ready to serve.
Two bays. Simple. But ready.
And just outside, one of the department’s early trucks—a 1957 FWD S-500 pumper—marked how far they had already come.

Over the years, the building grew. Equipment expanded. New generations stepped forward.

But the foundation never changed.
Still volunteer.
Still showing up.
Still here when it matters most. ❤️🚒

When these gear racks are empty…
it means someone left.

Left their dinner half-eaten.
Left their family mid-conversation.
Left their bed in the middle of the night.

Not because it was convenient.
Not because it was easy.
But because someone, somewhere, needed help.

And they didn’t hesitate.

That 911 call doesn’t just start a truck—
it empties these racks.

A brother.
A sister.
A mother.
A father.
A neighbor.
A friend.

All putting their gear on… and going.

Sardis Volunteer Fire Company isn’t just a building…
it’s people.
