Spanish Mackerel World Championships

******SEE YALL NEXT YEAR*******
After careful consideration, we are going to cancel the 2024 Spanish tourney! Among the numbers of factors this year are the amount of fresh water that has overtaken the fishing areas, lack of Spanish at this point, and the debris and floating dangers that have been washed into the area as well. We love this event as much as anyone and hated to make this decision. This event only works the week before Labor Day as football, hunting, and other tourneys are scheduled moving forward from there. Everyone that had purchased a raffle ticket has gotten their money back and we look forward to seeing everyone next year Aug 22nd thru 24th!!!!

*******FORMAT CHANGE*******
With the forecast this Saturday (6th) and Sunday(7th) being what they are..,,,..we have decided to make the call this morning to use a Captains Choice Format of the two days!!! This tournament is and always has been a family friendly event and we want our guys in small boats to have as fair a chance as ours fortunate to have bigger boats!!! We apologize for any inconvenience!!!
We cannot thank Crazy Sister Marina and our weighmasters enough for being open to working two days at the scales. This means that on Friday at the meeting you will declare your fish day when you register. At this time, each team can only fish one day!!!! No double entries and if this is voted to be allowed we will notify everyone asap! All $100 Raffle Tickets are gone and we are exploring an opportunity to do a $50 reverse raffle that would work the same way. Reverse Raffle format and 1/2 pot to winning ticket and additional 1/2 would go straight in the tournament purse!!! We will update!
