Rant incoming, this old man has found a cloud to yell at...

I am tired of seeing promotion for psytrance events "created" with generative AI.

The psytrance scene is not lacking in amazing artists. Every single local psytrance scene that I have interacted with has several artists. In many instances, I have seen these artists contribute different elements to different psytrance festivals within the same scene over the course of several years. However, I have seen much less of these artists' work, which i felt imparted a great deal of unique flair to each individual scene, since generative Ai became a widely accessible series of products.

This pi**es me off, a lot. I feel that the potency of the creative force of the psytrance scene is becoming dilute with this bu****it, and the entire psytrance scene is becoming weirdly homogenous in the presentation of the promotional paraphernalia.

The Jiggywoog will never use generative Ai and will maintain fertile ground for the creative spirit.

Founder and primary visual artist of the Jiggywoog. Rav wears many hats: Curator of the Cosmodrome, Constructor of Pleiadian Pyramids, Painter of Celestial Delights; Rav was initially transported to hyperspace in the Asheville Psytrance scene in 2016, and never returned to Earth. Rav began building his own skills as a DJ in 2022, and more recently as a producer. With the blend of danceable and lush full-on psytrance, it is my hope to bring the dancefloor to a far off nebula, where the collective consciousness pours from its foundry!
