If y’all happen to be looking for something to do before Midwest Trike Fest in September, I’m also hosting this event June 4th at the Heart of the Ozarks Fairgrounds in West Plains Missouri, all trikes are welcome, and yes I’ll allow the GULP sorry I threw up in my mouth a little bit there…. the quads too……

Classes for everyone, even the kiddos, and the carnival is going on right next to us at the same time.
Gates open at 5pm, Rodeo starts at 7pm, and if you wanna have a chat about MWTF, trikes, racing, or even just say hi, come see me at 6 at the arena and I’ll be happy to visit with ya!

RETURN TO THE COUNTY FAIR

Many of you never see what all goes on behind the scenes when organizing Midwest Trike Fest year after year, and it’s kept that way for a reason, (pretty stressful and boring). However one major side effect of that is we don’t get any feedback on how we’re doing other than from those who attend. Thankfully the feedback I have received over these past 7 years has all been good and improvements have been made year after year to help provide the best event possible to each and every one of you.

That hasn’t gone unnoticed, even by the outsiders! This is where the behind the scenes part comes in. I was recently contacted by the Heart of the Ozarks Fair board in West Plains Missouri, and was quite surprised to learn that they wanted me to host one of Midwest Trike Fest’s most favored events for them as a main attraction event at this years Heart of the Ozarks fair. Many hours have been spent behind the scenes working out the legalities, the liabilities, crunching numbers, and making phone calls to make this a reality, and as of today I have received final confirmation and the green light to make it happen.

Yes you read that right! June 4th 2026 at The Heart of the Ozarks Fair in West Plains Missouri aside from the carnival going on right next to us, the fairgrounds arena will be all ours for an ATV RODEO as the main event for that day. This event will feature 3 wheelers as well as 4 wheelers (scored separately of course), with the trikes being the main focus for this event. This will be THE VERY FIRST 3 wheeler focused event at the fair in nearly 40 years.

Classes will be:
Trike 200 and under
Trike 250 and up
Women’s Trike open
Women’s open
Kids 5-8 90cc and under
Kids 9-12 open
Youth 13-17 2-stroke
Youth 13-17 4-stroke
Youth 13-17 Utility
18+ 2-stroke
18+ 4-stroke
18+ utility
PRO Open
Trophies to be awarded to top 3 in each class

Thank you to Top Dawg Trailer Sales of West Plains Missouri for stepping up to the plate and donating $500 towards parts for the restoration of the mwtf26 kids giveaway trike! If you’re in the market for a new cargo trailer, dump trailer, or flat bed trailer don’t hesitate to give them a call, if they don’t have it, they can have it made!

Midwest Trike Fest 2026 giveaway machine is now in my hands and running! Now I can give out the list of needs. If anyone would like to donate anything off the list to make this thing hop on ready when it comes time to give it away, or has another machine they’d like to donate for a giveaway trike please by all means speak up, I’d love to give away multiple machines again this year if I can! Last year we gave away 3 machines to 3 lucky kiddos ABSOLUTELY FREE TO THEM and it’s all thanks to folks like you.

For this 1978 ATC90 we need:
3 tires 22-11x8
Fenders front and rear (used but complete rear fenders are ok, they’re fiberglass and will be repainted anyways)
Seat cover
Headlight (used is ok)
Headlight switch (used but working is ok)
Decals all the way around (Blueline graphics)
Handlebars
Airbox (used is ok)
Carb to airbox boot (used is ok)
Air filter
Carburetor rebuild kit
Foot pegs (used is fine)
Correct Gas cap gasket (I can send link if needed)
Brakes
Cables
Levers (good used is ok)
Spark arrestor or full exhaust
Chain/sprockets
I’ll take care of the engine and paint myself

Again I’d like to reiterate, no one is obligated to pitch in or donate anything, BUT if you would like to contribute to this years giveaway and see another child’s eyes light up when they win a new to them machine, please by all means contact me. If you’d like recognition for your donation I will do so when the machine is given away, or if you’d like to remain anonymous that is perfectly ok as well. If you aren’t sure what parts to order or where to order from, you can also contribute a monetary donation to order the parts needed. WELCOME BACK EVERYONE!!!!!
I hope everyone has had a good off season. The dates for this years event have been finalized and we are scheduled to return to Ho**er Holler Off Road Park in 2026 on September 18th, 19th, and 20th this year! Now I’m still working out the fine details for the individual events for this year, so I’d like to see yalls thoughts on which events to run. What was your favorite from previous years? What new events would you like to see? If an event has been taken away that you enjoyed, what would you like to see return? Drop your choices in the comments below and let me know, but hurry and get those days scheduled off and your camping reservations made before time runs out and spots fill up!!! That’s another great year in the books! Thank you to all who attended this year and continue to make this event such a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all who attend year after year. A special thank you is VERY much deserved to Tim Thornhill, John Bergfels, Terry Lusk, Wendy Callahan, and everyone else that worked their tails off to help make this event possible and keep everything running smooth. Let’s also not forget to thank the Wright County Sheriff’s Department and their trusty canine for hearing about our great event and swinging by to check it out and patrol the grounds to make sure everyone was safe throughout the weekend!!! Congratulations to all the race and giveaway winners, and thank you to Luke Peterson, Nick Muckerman, Tim Thornhill, Chad Mergelcamp, Jason Krueger, Brandon Hubbard, John Bergfels, and everyone else who donated to keep the giveaway machines alive and ready for their new homes, yall made some very happy kiddos and memories that will last a lifetime!
