Our headquarters office and storefront is open year round. Visit five tulip gardens in Mount Vernon, and enjoy free events across Skagit County.

You won’t find fields of tulips at our headquarters (trust us, we’ve checked), but you will find plenty of tulip-inspired merchandise and artwork to take home a piece of the bloom! Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is a countywide celebration of spring and our agricultural history running April 1-30. Find festival info and merch at our headquarters.

Ready to put your own spin on tulip season? Submissions are open for the 2027 Skagit Valley Tulip Festival Art Exhibit!

Artists age 16+ from Skagit, Snohomish, Whatcom, Island, and San Juan Counties are invited to submit up to two tulip-themed 2D pieces for consideration. Around 25–30 works will be selected for the exhibit, with one artist chosen as our 2028 Official Festival Poster Artist and awarded a $1,000 prize! 🌷 Plus, visitors will vote for their favorite work for our People’s Choice Award ($200).

Inspired by tulips? We want to see your art! 🎨

The 2027 Skagit Valley Tulip Festival Art Exhibit is now accepting submissions! This is your chance to showcase your work, celebrate the beauty of Skagit Valley, and have your artwork considered for the 2028 Official Festival Poster.

Artists must:
🌷 Be 16+ and live in Skagit, Whatcom, San Juan, Island, or Snohomish County
🎨 Submit a tulip-themed piece in any 2D medium
💲 Pay a $25 entry fee (includes up to 2 pieces)

25–30 artworks will be selected for the exhibit, and one selected piece will become the 2028 Festival Poster with a $1,000 award for the artist.

Our 2026 Tulip Ambassadors, Baxter and Lucy truly made this season one to remember. 🌷

From festival events to community appearances (including meeting the Governor), they represented Skagit Valley with kindness, enthusiasm, and so much pride for our community. We’re so appreciative of all they brought to the program this year.

The 2026 tulip season has officially come to a close 🌷

What a beautiful spring it was with sunny days, early blooms, and fields full of color from start to finish. We’re so grateful to everyone who visited from near and far to experience the tulips and explore our incredible county with us.
