In case you missed the email that went out yesterday, here it is:
Hello Everybody.
Are you ready for a bike ride in the piney woods of East Texas? I know I am.
Having done these rides for decades, I have learned that the weather never watches the forecast. It does what it wants to and the forecast changes a lot.
I have also driven through rain to a ride, only to have the weather clear and have a beautiful ride. Yes, it has also gone the other way - clear to the ride and rain starting at ride time.
Current forecast calls for early morning showers and clear at ride time. I plan to be there and look forward to riding the 40 mile route, weather permitting.
I'll be set up by packet pick up, which is in the Town Square (different from last year). Come by and see me before the ride starts. I've got some goodies and gifts (FREE Road to Hotter'N Hell Posters) to hand out.
I regret that the jerseys did not get to us in time for this ride. If you have a RTHH jersey from a previous year OR a Hotter'N Hell jersey, please wear it.
The ride starts at 9am.
All rider packets include a $7 food voucher that can be redeemed at a number of local restaurants and cafes. Many of them are right there on the town square.
If you need to check out the routes (there are several hills along the way), here's the link.
Got questions? Reply with your query and I'll do my best to find you an answer.
FYI - I'll be out of the office after 12 noon on 4/17/2026 and will not see emails when I am out of the office.
Ride On!
