The cars are back in the barn, the ramp is tucked away, and another year of The Hilltop Drop Soap Box Rally has come to a close.
I have, what feels like, a million people to thank. First and foremost, all of the volunteers who helped set up, tear down, and run the derby on race day. In no particular order, Shawn and Kevin Knauer, Will Stewart, John Stewart, Chase Bailey, Andrew and Megan Neaville, Kody Letterle, Kevin Jason, Brad Davis, Mike F**g, Tim Lynch, Kyle Payne, Doug and Chelsey Smock, Josh McCain, Rob Siebert, Eric Lau, Mike Oberreiter, JC Coogan, Jeff Meister, and every person who saw a need on race day, and pitched in. It takes a village, and we have one of the best around.
This event doesn't make it off the ground without the support of Mount Pulaski Fall Festival, and the City of Mt. Pulaski. Matt and his team repaired our road before the race, even though they had a laundry list of other tasks to complete.
The amount of work that Danielle, Katie, Kelly, Michelle, Bobbie, and the whole committee put into organizing, and scheduling this event goes largely unnoticed. We just show up and race.
We received a tremendous amount of support from our sponsors this year, that will allow us to grow and repair our operation for next year.
