John Ward John Ward is a horror author hailing from Northeast Ohio. He has been enamored with horror stories and films since he was a young age - sparked by his fascination with the Goosebumps books. In 2023, John decided to break into the horror industry by writing his very own middle grade horror series, Scareville! He wanted to bring back fun, exciting, yet spooky stories for young readers of the modern age, while also serving up nostalgia for the adult readers as well.

John loves writing horror for everyone and inspiring today’s young readers. Recently, John has dipped his toes into the world of adult horror, completing several short stories for anthologies, a full-length novel - A Blackened Heart, A Blackened Soul - and has also recently completed his second novel, An Unforgiving Nature. More works will be on the way for both Scareville and his adult horror reads.

𝐉𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐝𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐡𝐚𝐦 Jonathan Edward Durham was born near Philadelphia where he read voraciously throughout his youth and beyond. After attending William and Mary, where he received a degree in neuroscience while also studying literature, Jonathan waded into the professional world before deciding he was better suited for more artistic pursuits.

He still lives in Pennsylvania with his husband and assorted other animals. There, he writes novels that bridge the wonder of his favorite childhood stories with the thrilling pop sensibilities of his early adult obsessions. He’s also an avid humorist on social media where you can find him waxing quipsodic about cheese, and sometimes even the world beyond. The second edition of his debut novel, Winterset Hollow, is coming from Hachette/Union Square 𝐓𝐎𝐃𝐀𝐘!
