Congratulations to our 2025 bee champion, Terese Floren! Terese, a repeat champion, won by spelling ‘aquifer’ to secure the title. (And some other really hard words.)

Registration is open for the bee! It's $15 to enter. No doubt there will be some familiar faces and every year there's new ones, too, trying to test their brains.

It's that time of the year! The bee will be just under a month from now on Feb. 8, at 1 p.m. at Martinson Hall. Details to enter will be coming soon, but in the meantime would-be contestants can start studying their dictionaries.

The festival has gone national! We're in with the big winter fests in this article from Forbes. For some reason they didn't feel like mentioning the spelling bee, but WE know how cool it is.

Where are you going to BEE on Feb. 10? Hopefully at Martinson Hall for everybody's favorite winter sport - the spelling bee! Mark your calendars and memorize your dictionaries now. Details to come about the event, but start spreading the word that the bee will be back!
