After some major health issues and last minute planning THE SHOW WILL GO ON and WE WILL BE DOING OUR TOY DRIVE AS NORMAL!!!!! Make plans to be at CHEROKEE PARK the weekend of NOV 16, 2019! Special thanks to Owings Metal Art, a private backer, and Specialty Insurance. Without any of them this simply would not be happening this year.

Let me tell you about the day I had and what I witnessed...It started off at 37 degrees and 3 people waiting on me to get in at 7:45. I followed Jason Bell in and unlocked the gate. David Caldwell followed in with my traditional Pals breakfast and the show began. Billy Parvin got sound set up while Regina Parvin and I ran from a mouse....people started rolling in. Adam Tripp and I caught up and brainstormed something HUGE. I was honored to receive an awesome gift I will never get rid of from Jason Livesay.....fast forward to later in the day I kept up my end of the deal to Kim Wells and Brandon Carroll with a roll ride and go dawgs! Finally PJ Grooms and Jami Fon Grooms got there and we got to reminisce on how they first met at this show and have been together ever since. Bobby Wilson got a half moon from me only because I wasn't sure if he had the kids.Bradley Dupkoski and his wife came without their vehicles just to bring toys!...While we ended up with only half of the participants from last year...56....THAT GROUP OF 56 BROUGHT IN AS MANY TOYS AS THE 97 FROM LAST YEAR DID! We raised 561 toys for local kids in need for Christmas.

I can not tell you how awesome it is to have people like this in my life. We did a lot of great things today people! I am proud to know each and every one of you all and THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! For those that couldn't make it I'm sorry you missed witnessing the awesomeness that happened today!

I ended the evening with a great dinner with David Caldwell and Chase Heath. It was good to be back and hang out with you guys!

For those passing out candy this year, if a teenager or young adult comes to your door, please just give them the candy without saying, "Aren't you too old to be doing this?" They could be out doing things much worse. Let them be kids as long as they can. Kids grow up way too fast.

Also, please don't refuse a child candy because they aren't dressed up. Some children are autistic or have sensory issues that make dressing up uncomfortable, if not unbearable.

One last thing: size doesn't always determine emotional age or disability. You may see a teenager or even an adult, but they may still relate to the custom as a child does. Be kind!

Copy and paste. Keep it going️.
