Dont miss The Fire Fighter show at the Margantown Mall Schools Out For Summer Frstival June 6-8 !! The show will have the kids excited the entire time as the learn the important safety tips and 4 lucky kids will be an apart of each show!
The Firefighter Show plays off every child’s curiosity to one day become a “Firefighter” with an impactful blend of entertainment and education.
The show allows volunteers from the audience - usually kids, but we can use adults - to become our firefighter trainees.
Audience Participation Show - After being fitted in firefighter jacket and helmet, the new trainees are introduced to the audience as their next
generation of heroes and the volunteer firefighters are divided into two teams.
When the alarm tone sounds calling Engine One to duty, it’s all trainees on deck! Each firefighter trainee/team gets to complete the basic
tasks at our simulated fire scene: laying out fire hose, attaching it to the fire truck and putting on a nozzle. Using a real fire extinguisher to sq**rt
water at the simulated flames in our smoke rescue building in hopes they can knock the flames down in each of the windows,
“putting out the fire”. The dialog between our fire chief, the audience and the new trainees is riddled with humor and education information
such as “In Case of Fire, Get Outside and Stay Outside, Only Firefighters Attempt Rescues”. The fire chief also introduces important fire
safety lessons “Don’t Hide, Get Outside” and “Crawl Low, Under Smoke”.
What comes off as entertaining and fun today may save a life in the future. Throughout the show, the audience is encouraged to cheer on our
new trainees as the shows activities become a fun competition between our volunteer firefighters. The team that wins our competition,
is our 1st place team and as a reward they get to climb tower -one and aim its water cannon at which ever part of the audience they feel wasn’t
cheering them on during the earlier events. The show ends with our fire tower water cannon shot.

No one is left out of our show. After Tower One’s surprising water cannon shot, the audience is invited to stay and all the kids can practice
“Crawl Low, Under Smoke” through our smoke- rescue facility, touch and feel real firefighting equipment or have a photo taken sitting on our fire
truck. All post show activities are free. We reserve the right to sell child size fire helmets or fire safety coloring books before or after each show.
Our extensive set of props and stage effects include: professional costumes, up beat music, alarm sound effects, flashing lights, smoking-smoke
rescue building, fire extinguishers, fire hose & nozzles, tower-one, streamer launcher/cannon and our custom kid size fire truck.
New in 2025 Junior Firefighters Play Station. All kid- size and kid- friendly equipment that produce Big- Size Fun!
Each show lasts 30 minutes and involves four audience members, usually kids. Post- show, we operate the smoke-rescue facility letting all the
kids practice “Crawl Low, Under Smoke” and offer good firehouse hospitality! Don’t forget to take a tour on a real Fire Truck after the show!

Granpa Cratchet’s Show Is A Fast Paced, Crazy Fun, Live Action Hit! It’s time for a trip down memory lane to the days of yesteryear for a visit with everybody’s favorite off the wall, totally wired, high energy, crazy old timer, Granpa Cratchet. Kids love to meet and hug Granpa, and watch his show, and they can do just that, coming up at the Schools Out Summer Festival at the Morgantown Mall parking Lot June 6-8 2025 Your whole family will love the Granpa Cratchet show, just part of this year’s great entertainment line up. Kids love Granpa’s fast paced silliness and high energy off the wall antics and really silly jokes. He’s fun, he’s lovable, and he’s in your face with both wit and charm.

Granpa’s creator, Sam Bowman, who grew up with his grandfather on the family farm in Indiana, says it’s the Granpa character that first draws the children. Bowman said, “It’s the Granpa look and then the Granpa outlook. I gave him the name Cratchet because he’s kind of a get in your face cratchety old guy. Really he’s a mix of my favorite TV characters from when I was growing up in the fifties. He’s a little of Red Skelton, Captain Kangaroo, Jackie Gleason, and The Three Stooges all mixed together.”

Granpa also has all of the qualities a grandpa should have; he’s kind, loving, and always wants a hug. He’s a kid at heart and will do just about anything a kid would do, so the kids certainly identify and connect with this character.

If it’s the Granpa personality that attracts the kids, it’s the slapstick comedy and audience participation that holds the kids. It’s a treat just to watch them as they talk to Granpa, yelling out instructions to him during the show. Granpa always needs help catching his dog or one of his barnyard critters.

However, this show isn’t just for kids. Grown-ups love the show as well because it’s a trip down memory lane. Bowman has mixed a lot of the good ole days and the outlook of the family farm in the nineteen fifties into his show. Parents enjoy catching snippets of their own childhood as they watch Granpa mix it up with Granma, and her dog FeeFee, and a host of other country critters. Granpa says, “I just love trips down memory lane. That is if I can remember where the lane is.” Then he belly laughs, which he does at all his own jokes.

When the kids visit one of Granpa’s shows, they always get a great lesson, such as the golden rule, safety first, work together, follow your instructions, or do your chores. In the show, Granpa always has trouble with his barnyard animals. There’s Fuzzball the dog and Granma’s pet dog FeeFee. The kids love Afterburner Bunny and Wally the squirrel. In a Granpa show, you’ve got to have a lot of fast-paced action, and in the end, Granpa always has a big finish when he blows up one of his homemade machines.

After the show, Granpa comes down to the front door to meet all the kids one on one. At the front door, Granpa sends his message home with the kids on a DVD of the show in one of his Family Fun Packs. Everyone always gets a hug, and there’s lots of photos with Granpa.
