I remember Charles Wesley Godwin’s first appearance at the showcase back when it was at Schmitt’s
Saloon. He’s been working hard, singing his heart out. The hard work is paying off. He’s playing sold out shows. He also just appeared on The Grand Ole Opry on Friday.

Happy to announce that the Morgantown Songwriters' Showcase has a new home, and will be held the 2nd Tuesday of each month, at Mundy's Place! This Tuesday, June 13th will be the first one in our new home. Who wants to come share their original music in a groovy intimate listening room?

We're currently in discussions with a neighborhood bar near downtown to host our Songwriters' Showcase. Acoustic writers rounds, and maybe even some open mic action. Stay tuned :-)

Hello loyal musicians and fans!

As many of you know (and probably quite a few of you don't...)

Recent events have caused a change of name, and an immediate change of venue is in order. So, I'm reaching out to you to ask for suggestions and recommendations for a location that would enjoy great success by having a style writers round.

I owe it to you to keep this writers' round going, so let's help each other out and find a great venue!

Reminder: the Songwriters' Showcase at Schmitt's Saloon is still every other week for another month or so. There will be no showcase tonight, but next week we already have a full lineup of excellent music. Stay tuned for the lineup, and mark your calendars for Tuesday, April 18th!

Tonight is Songwriters' Showcase number 191 at Schmitt's Saloon. We've had a couple of bands sign up, so we're doing solo acoustic acts instead of the writers' round.
