We are so very excited for Chef Candace Stock’s demo on Saturday! She gave us a sneak peek into what she's planning - and you’re not gonna want to miss it!

Plus - she's crafting beautiful breakfast boxes for each of the attendees to enjoy during Beth Dooley's presentation in the morning!

Chef Candace attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park NY. She worked her way through restaurants and catering companies on the east coast and has come home to the midwest to focus on her family, connect to her indigenous heritage and provide food medicine to the community. She currently works for BernBaums restaurant in the kitchen helping to fulfill catering. Chef Candace works with the land, foraging ingredients and working directly with local farmers to create nourishing menus.

"My background as a farmer’s daughter taught me at a young age that I have to work hard for my food. The long hours my family spent harvesting or tending their own gardens helped me to realize the importance of respecting the ingredients that are brought to the table."

Now's the time! Grab your ticket for Saturday’s Farm Fest & Market to learn from this creative, talented, & all around superb human being, Chef Candace Stock!

Hey - did you hear!? The Team at Heart-n-Soul Community Café is at it again - serving up a delicious, wholesome, and locally-sourced meal that celebrates the abundance of the harvest season!

I mean - just look at the Harvest Bowl Chef Joe created for last year’s event! Black beans, beef, tomatoes, peppers, radish, corn, and beets - simple ingredients purchased from area farmers and ranchers, crafted into a beautiful meal. A great example of local chefs supporting our local food economy.

PLUS - the Farm-2-Fork meal is included in the ticket price, so not only are you playing a part in growing sales for our local economy, you are supporting a non-profit who - at the heart of their mission - offers Pay What You Can Afford pricing, where diners pay as little or as much as they are able to, ensuring no one is turned away for a lack of funds. Learn more about their mission to support our neighbors struggling with food insecurity at the link below 👇👇👇

It's BACK!! Thanks to RDO, the popular barrel train ride is back to give your kids (and maybe YOU) a ride around the yard. We will also have our fabulous entertainers back to keep kids busy by reading books, taking them on forage/scavenging adventures, helping dig in a pit of grains for treasures, and many other activities while you enjoy our foraging/mulching/and farm to school meal demos and discussions. You can also plan on participating in activities with our vendors--such as taking on Bjorn from Hugh’s Gardens LLC in a potato sack race. Shop for goodies from our vendors or talk a stroll to the sunflower patch--which will make for a great photo opportunity! We also have a public local food art activity which is where you can draw or write a note on the side of a semi trailer which will be hauling crops around the region this fall!

There is so much space and activities for adults and kids to enjoy at this event out in the country. The drive and reasonable ticket price is worth it for the kids sack lunch and meal by Heart-n-Soul Community Café alone!

We hope to see you here. Tickets are available at:
