Seven West Virginia counties—Berkeley, Grant, Hampshire, Jefferson, Mineral, Morgan, and Preston—have been included in a U.S. Department of Agriculture drought designation due to drought conditions that began in November 2025 and continue today. This designation makes eligible producers in these counties eligible to apply for emergency assistance through the Farm Service Agency loan program.

Billy Strings concerts originally scheduled for April 24-26 at Fishers Event Center have been rescheduled to August 6-8, 2026. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new dates.
