Summary:
In an era of unprecedented division and anger, bestselling thriller author Dan explores a powerful truth: individual acts of kindness create measurable ripple effects that can transform entire communities. Drawing from compelling historical examples—from London's WWII bomb shelters to post-9/11 New York—and backed by scientific research from Harvard and MIT, this presentation reveals how one person's choice to extend grace instead of grievance can literally change the world. Dan shares practical strategies for building bridges across ideological divides and demonstrates why hope isn't lost—it's simply waiting for each of us to take the first small step toward connection.

Acts of kindness -- Holding open a door for someone; bringing soup over to a friend's house who is ill; stopping to help a stranger in need. Whether we are on the giving or the receiving end of an act of kindness, what we feel in the presence of it is energizing and transformative.

On August 6 at 7pm, author
Dan Padavona will discuss the power of kindness and some of the extraordinary ways it has and continues to invigorate individuals and communities to become who they are. E Pluribus Unum, which means: From many, One. Kindness is at the core the social "glue."

Admission is free. Door opens 6:30pm. Come one come all. Let's celebrate kindness and get excited together over what is still possible.

The Mud Hens (Tom Adams and I) are playing in Montrose, PA on July 12th. Come on out to The Mosaic Theatre (formerly The Reimel Centre) for a night full of original music. This is a rare type of set for the Hens – Tom and I will be sharing songs, many of them new, back and forth in an intimate songwriter circle type of vibe. I’ve heard a few of Tom’s new songs and they’re really great. You won’t want to miss it.

The time has come to change the name of this wonderful space that has been known as The Reimel Centre.

We have decided on the name, The Mosaic Theatre, inspired by the wondrous Mosaic that rests on the wall at the rear of the building at 158 Church Street. We watched that Mosaic come together over the course of too many sweltering hot days last year. We watched the blood, sweat and tears spilled by the team of women who scaled the scaffolding and reconstructed it piece by piece. They will always be the DARE TO DREAM TEAM because they turned the mosaic dream into a reality.

So here we go a-daring to dream!

How's we start with a big birthday music extravaganza that celebrates Tom Adams of the Mudhens who takes the stage with Frank Fruehan on July 12th at 7:30pm, no cover charge!

Please stay tuned for more show announcements!

Bring your best self, always.
Best, John & Doreen 🙏
