Join us for Bacon Buddies at the Great Jones County Fair on July 22, 2026, at 6:30 PM in the Livestock Pavilion!

This special event pairs youth with mentors and buddies to create a fun, memorable livestock show experience for everyone involved. Whether you're looking to volunteer as a mentor or know someone who would love to participate, we'd love to have you join us!

A huge thank you to Bear River Milling, Iowa Pork, and Jones County Pork Producers for helping make this event possible.

Join us for the 2026 Great Jones County Fair Prime Steer Show — Iowa’s longest-running prime steer show since 1944!

📍 Great Jones County Fairgrounds

✅ Open to anyone with a market-ready prime steer
✅ Unlimited entries
✅ No pre-registration required
✅ Steers judged on appearance and can return to the farm

💰 Prize Money
🥇 1st: $1,500 + Belt Buckle
🥈 2nd: $600 + Belt Buckle
🥉 3rd: $300
4th: $225 | 5th: $150 | 6th–10th: $100
