2020 RED BLUFF Gran Fondo
The inaugural 2019 RED BLUFF was held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 and gave cyclists two event options to experience the challenging bluffs, hills, roads and weather conditions of South Mississippi in early March. The start and finish of the two distances were located at the Lawrence County Courthouse in downtown Monticello, Mississippi. RED BLUFF drew 169 participants from 5 states including Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee and Texas. RED BLUFF came to life under a very short timeline with the help of many groups and organizations. These groups included Lawrence County and Monticello Officials, the private sector, local churches, USA Cycling, and Lincoln, Walthall, Marion, and Jefferson Davis Counties. RED BLUFF would not have happened without Southwest Mississippi embracing and supporting its development and embodying the Mississippi Community.
This Mississippi teamwork allowed RED BLUFF to provide a $10,000 check to the Lawrence County Volunteer Fire Department’s Regional Training Center which will serve firefighters across Southwest Mississippi.
