Rules and information listed on website. Arrive on Mulberry St by 5:30pm on Friday June 12th. Sign-in table will be in the Opera House courtyard. Line-up by 6pm. Judging starts at 6:15pm. Winner announced at 6:45pm! We are excited to see your creations this year! Theme is stars, slices & stripes!

It’s a BIG week as we kick off our 75th Annual Watermelon Festival! This Friday, June 12th join us for a fantastic family event at our Block Party/BBQ Dinner on Mulberry St! Delicious BBQ will be served by Johnston’s, Fresh lemonade by The Lemonade Crew, ice cold Kona Ice and goodies from The Cow House! Be sure to sign kids up for the Kid’s Ride-On Parade sponsored by Jefferson Teacher’s Credit Union! The Monticello Police Department will host the Watermelon Games sponsored by Farm Credit of Northwest Florida. Awards, introduction of Queens, Grand Marshals and entertainment by The Mountain Dew Cloggers will be a part of this festive evening! Bring the family, lawn chairs and get ready for a downtown block party, Monticello style!
