Very Sad News today! Prayers for Dr Doyle and all those he touched!!
It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of Dr. Thomas L. Doyle today. Affectionately known as “Doc” by his students and the greater Montgomery Catholic community, he was an educator at Montgomery Catholic High School for nearly 30 years. He served as the School Principal from 1972 until 1989. In 1989, he was named Montgomery Catholic High School’s first School President, a position he held until 2001.
His vision for the school led to our current K-12 model, and during his time at Catholic, he taught Calculus, Algebra, and The Psychology of Religion, but he is best known for his challenging Physics class and the famous neck pinch. Doc was always available for tutorials if any student required a bit of extra help to pass his class or needed a firm but loving redirect to success.
In 2004, Montgomery Catholic expanded to include a brand new Middle School that was named in his honor. Dr. Doyle has left a lasting legacy at Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School and with the thousands of students that he personally influenced over the decades.
His legacy is great here at Catholic and we pray that he is at peace.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
~Amen~
