As you know, Governor Edwards’ most recent COVID order contained language mandating a distance of six feet between people. Thus, it is no longer economically feasible for us to have the beloved Barak Shrine Circus. The Ike Hamilton Expo Center can hold around 2700 people when it is at capacity, and with this order it appears it would hold around 15% of that. We cannot economically produce a circus with that limited amount of people.
We looked to reschedule to September, but there are no available dates right now, we have no idea how long Gov. Edwards’ mandate will last, and we do not want to stretch things out like we did last year.
With that being said, our ticket sales hours that we have posted will now be hours that you can go to Barak Shrine Temple and return your tickets for a full refund. Any tickets that were purchased online will be refunded back to the card they were purchased on tomorrow (it may take 3-5 days to reach your account depending on your bank/credit card company).
We are heartbroken. This is now two years’ worth of work and a great deal of money that we have put into bringing you a new experience that can be enjoyed by people who have always supported us and people who are new to the area and have never experienced our show. Thank you to our vendors, our volunteers, and the Ike Hamilton Expo Center who has been nothing short of wonderful to work with over these past couple of years.
Once all of this passes, we will be back and be ready to entertain you again. Thank you for your patience as we navigate this situation and we hope that you and your family remain safe.
