The City of Monroe has launched a new mass notification system, and we're excited that the Dowd Center Theatre is included as part of the platform!
Residents can sign up to receive updates about emergency alerts, road closures, utility outages and more. You can also opt in to receive notifications about upcoming events and performances at The Dowd.
Best of all, your notification preferences are customizable, so you can choose exactly which updates you'd like to receive.

We heard your feedback: you wanted alerts to reach you on more than just social media pages or utility bills. Here's the answer. Sign up for Monroe Alerts and get City alerts by phone, text, email, and social media all at the same time.
When it matters most, we want to make sure you are informed no matter what device you have nearby.
But Monroe Alerts is not just for emergencies. It is also how you stay connected to everything happening in your City. Parks and Recreation updates. Downtown Monroe events. Dowd Center Theatre show announcements. MAFC schedule changes. City events. You choose only the topics you care about and how you want to hear about them.
