Help our community upgrade the playground equipment at the park where we host the Pigeon River Festival, join us at the Mongo Church for a soup cook-off fundraiser!!

Here’s the information for our Soup-er Bowl Cook Off!! Come out and help us raise funds for new playground equipment at the Mongo Park!

Grab a bowl (or two!) of soup or sample them all and vote for your favorite! Want to put your cooking skills to the test? Enter a soup into the contest, just give us a heads up with a comment or message!

Also - If anyone is interested in donating bowls, spoons, pop/water please let us know!

Join the Mongo Community Development Association during their Soup-er Bowl Cook Off to help raise funds for new playground equipment for the park!! Help improve the park where we host the Pigeon River Festival!! 💙

The MCDA will be hosting a soup cook-off on Saturday February 7th (the day before the Super Bowl, hence Soup-er Bowl cook-off 😉)

This is a fundraiser for new park playground equipment!! The MCDA has received several grants towards new playground equipment but still need the support of our community to reach our goal!! 💚

Please join us for dinner that evening & consider entering a soup in the contest!

LCA President Kari Lipscomb was one of three local celebrity judges for the 2025 Great American Pie Bake-off at the Pigeon River Festival in Mongo, today. It was a fun time and the weather was absolutely perfect for the festival.
