Mrs. Krista Kaminski & I would like to invite everyone to the Steel City Songahm Classic on September 8th & 9th at the Dome at the Community College of Beaver County. The Dome is less than 20 minutes from the Pittsburgh Airport.

Last years event was a huge success. All 24 rings are on the same floor, 3 huge parking lots, bleachers and chair seating plus don't forget the food trucks!!!

New for this year:
- The NEW Traditional Color Belt Weapon forms are required for the champion divisions only! Videos are available online through ATA.
- Tigers & Recreational may still do 30 second of Weapon free-style.
- Black Belt SJB form has been updated with new footwork. Competitors are allowed to perform either the original version or the 2.0 version. Videos of SJB 2.0 are available online through ATA.
- Black Belts may use wood BME for competition

Check out the 2023 SCSC medal design! This year is a Flying Dragon. The Red symbolizes the Red Chief Master Silk Uniform.
The shape is the same as last year so you can collect and make a star.

***Reminder for the tournament this weekend***
"Mrs. K & I love ATA tournaments" is an understatement. We have met so many great people from all over the world (USA, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Peru, South Africa, Portugal, Spain, the UK, South Korea, India, &...). We consider them our ATA family & these events are ATA family reunions.
We love the challenge and opportunity to learn & improve. There are so many life lessons that we can learn from these events. Champions embrace & trust the process it takes to succeed. Champions do no make excuses, they find ways to do their best under the circumstances & overcome the unforeseen obstacles. Whether you win a medal or not, you MUST make new friends and learn something new!

Please make sure your uniform, weapon, & gear are clean and in good shape, and remember to bring:
- Uniform with ATA Patch & belt
- Tournament Weapon
- All Safety Gear
- Combat BME
- Tournament Waiver
- Patience, courtesy, respect, sportsmanship & a Great Attitude.

Team registrations for Friday night has set a new National record at 127 Teams. Saturday's numbers are still coming but looks like they will be HUGE. Mrs K & I could not do this alone & we appreciate your loyalty & support. Thank you in advance for all of your hard work to help make this event a success.
