A HISTORY MYSTERY
History Mystery
The Cherry Quilt

Historic Schaefferstown has held Cherry and Harvest Fairs for many years. That tradition continues today. We are hoping that someone or a few “someones” can help solve a History Mystery for one of our board members. Sarah E. joined our Board of Directors a few years ago. She was drawn to Historic Schaefferstown because of her connection to her great-grandmother. She said she would love to know who won either the 1986 or 1987 quilts. Sarah plans to start her own quilt and will be helping at the Harvest Fair, but her injured hand makes quilting a bit more difficult.

We do not have records of who won raffle items in those years, but we do have this news clipping. Sarah’s great-grandmother, Anna Moyer, is displaying her quilt.
Please contact us if you have any clues or more information about who may have won this beautiful quilt. Sarah would love the opportunity to see the quilt and hold this very special item and connection to her past.
