Logan's Homegrown Cigar Box Guitars Makin' music with a string & a box In 2015 I saw The Ghost Town Blues Band twice in Springfield and Matt plays and makes CBG's. I thought that was cool.

Then we went thru Tunica Miss and stopped at a cool blues museum. There was a board with a couple of screws and a piece of wire on it, and that was one of the first Diddley Bo's, so I came home and made one. Then a very good friend made one, so I made another one. Then over the winter it turned into 32 different kinds. A great hobby!

Maybe the last beautiful evening to sit outside without a jacket. The trees without any leaves are swishing their limbs, and the lights are blinking every 3 seconds, but hey, it’s nice out so enjoy it!!

An instrument can be as complicated as you want it to be. Some take weeks, months, or maybe a year to perfect. Or, you can take a vintage stairwell spindle from the Marbold historic plantation, mount a string on it like the old days, and you have music. Either way it can be a treasure to pass down from years gone by.

If anyone happens across this magazine, it has a very good article on the St Louis National Blues Museum in it. Also a mention of Ivas John and Devin Williams, and others who have played there. We found one copy in Clarksdale but would like another.

#1061, I received a gift kit Hobo Fiddle the other day, so I had to build it too. 17” scale, nylon string acoustic. I did a little modification on the neck and box, and I’m proud to say, I can play Mary had a little lamb now with the instruction book that came with it. 🤔😲
