PLEASE READ:

The Holly Lane Haunt will be accepting unopened non-perishables to donate to local food banks this Halloween.

The Holly Lane Haunt has been a staple on Halloween for many years in our community. Some years we are lucky enough to see a couple thousand of you. The heart of our haunt is giving back to the community and family. We do this for us because it’s fun but more than anything we do this for people to have something that’s awesome (if I do say so myself) to do on Halloween that won’t break the bank.

This year we have caught wind of a second need. I was inspired by a “how can I help” post I saw which confirmed that in November SNAP benefits will not be distributed to North Carolina families. An estimated 1.4 million people will be affected. Now we are a small haunt but we have a big heart for our community and dont want parents choosing between halloween costumes and home cooked meals. This Halloween we will have a box at our candy table to collect non-perishables to deliver to a local food pantry to help our neighbors.

Please share and get the word out and help us support each other this Holiday Season.

🎃 HAUNTER SPOTLIGHT: Logan Allen

Every great haunt has a few unsung heroes lurking behind the scenes — and Logan is one of ours! Whether it’s helping build terrifying sets, tearing them down after the screams fade, jumping in to deliver a spine-chilling scare, or handing out candy to brave little trick-or-treaters, Logan bdoes it all with haunting enthusiasm.
No task is too spooky or too sweet — from hammering boards to handing out treats, Logan helps keep the haunt running smoothly (and eerily). His energy and team spirit make him a vital part of our creepy crew.
So next time you hear a sudden shriek or see a friendly ghoul with a candy bucket, you just might be seeing Logan in action!

We enjoyed seeing the 400 of you that came out last night and look forward to seeing even more of you tonight. We usually don’t post pictures of our scenes and actors to maintain the surprise, but we want to see even more of you this year than we usually do. Here are a few sneak peak pictures from opening night of only a few of our scenes, actors and props. Come see us tonight and on Halloween:

When the moon rises and the fog creeps over the trail, you can bet Julie and Tim are already hard at work—turning the woods into a nightmare you’ll never forget.
This terrifying twosome has been part of our haunted family for years, helping build every twisted turn, eerie scene, and bone-chilling backdrop you’ll scream through. From hammering boards in the daylight to tearing it all down under the moonlight, they pour their hearts (and maybe a few screams) into making the haunt come alive.
But their magic doesn’t stop there—on show nights, they’re masters of both terror and hospitality! Whether they’re the first to greet you with a wicked grin or lurking in the shadows waiting for the perfect scare, Julie and Tim help keep our haunted trail crawling with energy and fear.

From crafting eerie, jaw-dropping facades and creepy props to greeting guests with the perfect mix of charm and chills, they pour their creativity and energy into every corner of the trail. Their hard work sets the stage (and the screams!) for an unforgettable experience.

This fang-tastic Matriarch and Patriarch are always willing to contribute in huge ways! From helping set up the trail to making sure everything runs witchfully well and handing out treats with the biggest smiles — they truly are the pumpkin spice of our spooky season! 🎃🍬

We’re so lucky to have you two keeping the Halloween magic alive — it’s no trick, just a real treat to have you in our community! 🧡🕷️

Hosting the haunted trail is no small feat and these two ghouls go above and beyond to make it a fang-tastic fright night for everyone! From eerie decorations to the warmest welcomes, their home becomes the spirit of Halloween in our community. 🕷️🏡
Whether you’re there for the screams or the sweets, their love for the holiday — and for all of us — shines brighter than a jack-o’-lantern on Halloween night! 🎃✨

Haunter Spotlight(meet the team):

Sabrina Norman and Carlos Werewolf-Norman are two of the amazing minds who help organize, facilitate, and plan the Holly Lane Haunt.

Sabrina not only brings ideas, props, and builds to the trail but also helps to organize the trial, mapping it out and making sure we know where we need power and extension cords to be ran to our over 100 lighting, animatronic, fog and sound effects. She brings new people on to assist with the trial every year and her positivity and creativity bring so much to our operation!

No witch is complete without her werewolf. Carlos is an instrumental part building some of our more complicated structures with his years of knowledge in contracting work. He has helped to expand the trail, install sidewalks, clear trees and much more. He is a creative who has also brought many of his own ideas to the family haunt. Carols can be found setting up every opportunity he has as early as set up begins giving weeks of his time every year to contribute to the magic!

Meet some of the family:

The Holly Lane Haunt started as a simple walk through that took a few minutes with some tombstones, one animatronic and a family that liked to get together to pass out candy. Y’all told us you were glad we did this and we thought “thanks but you know what, we can do you one better.”

Fast forward to our 13th season it’s a project with 30+ family members and friends who come together weekly, some even daily to set up. We start in July and have 16 immersive scenes, 75+ animators, live scare actors, fog, lighting, sound effects and all of our guests leave with a sweet treats at the end. We even have an inflatable trail for the littlest of our trick or treaters who may be too scared to visit our monsters. We have cleared out trees, made paths to extend, laid sidewalks, built tunnels, mazes and other structures. Every single year we mix it up and give you something new.

We started free, and we are still free. We have fun doing this for our community and we want to continue to bring you fun.

This year the trail is taking a huge jump. We have added whole scenes, effects and are hoping to see as many of you as possible. Please share with your friends and enjoy some pictures of us setting up and some pictures from previous seasons. Age 5-73 everyone helps bring this together. 🖤🎃
