Edison Arts & Culture Community Center Project will offer an extraordinary range of arts and multi-cultural experiences to children and adults. Mission
The Edison Arts Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit fine arts organization, established for the educational and charitable purpose of producing and developing cultural and performing arts programs for children, adults, and families throughout the

community. Edison Arts Foundation will offer a place where people can learn to dance and theater arts, meet new people, dine , shop and live, have fun and feel comfortable. We will offer varied cultural programs that will include after school and summer programs to seasonal plays and multiple annual events. With the plan acquisition and renovation of the former Kroger, we will expand this mission to the development of a “complete community” by “Strengthening the Family. Purpose:
The Edison Arts Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit fine arts organization, established for the educational and charitable purpose of producing and developing cultural and performing arts programs for children, adults, and families throughout the community. The renovation and creation of the Performing Arts Center will give children, adults and family an environment to display the creative side, through visual and performing arts and educational enrichment programs. The People Served:
Edison Arts Foundation will be located in Fort Bend/Houston and primarily serves individuals residing within East Fort Bend County/Houston area. Census and Housing and Urban Development has determined some of this area in need of services for the poor and uninsured. Edison Arts Foundation ensures that the individual participant will receive the much needed resources that would allow them to participate in a fine arts program that would engage them to become active and expose them to an educational enrichment environment. Many of East Fort Bend undeserved youth and teens and family face problems due to inability to obtain quality activities and learning enrichment program because of insufficient funds, and historical inadequate methods for physical exercise. The programs at the Edison Performing Arts Center will provide ongoing access to physical activities through different forms of dance (Ballet, Tap, and Jazz & Hip Hop), theatre and educational enrichment through our After school and Summer reading and writing homework assistance programs. This enables the kids and instructors to assess the individual success; physically, emotionally, and/or psycho social conditions; and to determine if the ARTS are making a difference in their life, school and their overall outlook of their community. According to the information published by the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, Fort Bend County had a total population of 585,375 for the year 2010 and is estimated to grow approximately to 723,713 by the year 2017. The Fort Bend/ Houston had a total population of 69,621 in the year 2012. This figure has grown over 20%, since 1990. Edison Performance Arts Center feels that the population of Houston and Fort Bend County are all potential customers.
