Giving Tuesday is happening now at the Roxy Theater!

The Roxy Theater's film festival program, which includes the International Wildlife Film Festival, the Montana Film Festival, and Q***r West Film Fest, wouldn't be possible without generous support from the Roxy community.

Giving Tuesday can be many things: Offering a kind smile, a helping hand, or an hour of your time, and with a financial donation.

Support the art of film and neighborhood movie theaters. Give at the link in our bio, and like and share this post today to keep the magic of cinema alive.

'Train Dreams' was a smash at MTFF last weekend! We sold out two shows in two days (and we hear the copies of Denis Johnson's novella are sold out at all our local book stores?), and people are still asking for more.

We're thrilled to announce will be bringing 'Train Dreams' back for a full week-long run, starting next Friday, November 7!

Guess what we got today🫢

Do you have you tickets to The Straight Story yet? It’s screening twice at MTFF, Oct. 23 at 7:00 pm and Oct. 26 at 2:00 pm!

Did you know that The Straight Story is the only feature film directed by David Lynch that has never played on Roxy Theater screens? We’re ecstatic to complete his filmography, especially because we get to do it on the only 35mm film print of the movie in circulation!

We’re saving you a seat in Big Sceeen Country!

Want to get into the Halloween spirit a little early this weekend? Look no further than these spooky selections at the Montana Film Festival!

Thursday 10/23 at 7:15 pm - KEEP MONTANA WEIRD. Three gruesome tales from the Treasure State. Whether it be dystopian fallout, floral cultists, or tentacled monsters, there's something for everyone to be afraid of in this block.

Friday 10/24 at 8:00 pm - DEAD LOVER. A fluorescent twist on the Frankenstein story. Watch a stinking gravedigger find love, lose love, and drag love back from the grave, even if it kills her.

Saturday 10/25 at 8:00 pm - QUEENS OF THE DEAD. Tina Romero follows in her father's footsteps and presents a hilariously chilling zombie outbreak, this time at a Brooklyn drag show. Survive, survive!

And there are shadows lurking in our shorts blocks...

MASKS, screening 10/24 at 7:45 and 10/25 at 2:15 - A woman gives everything she has at an audition, and a man comes face-to-face with his murdered wife all over again

PLACES (SORT OF), screening 10/25 at 5:00 and 10/26 at 2:15 - A man keeps vigil with a shadowy entity, and a mysterious stranger causes natural disasters in a remote jungle valley

ANIMATION, screening 10/24 at 5:15 and 10/26 at 4:45 - A woman's metamorphosis, a priest's confrontation with an unfamiliar world, a bull terrier's digital fight-to-the-death. Some of these animated masterworks are downright disturbing
