Hoops 4 Hope Miramar The highlight of Hoops 4 Hope is the award ceremony. The Miramar Police Department and the Miramar P.A.L. Please refer to the current flyer for the date.

will award qualified 12th grade students that attend a Miramar based high school with a $1,000.00 college scholarship. All students deemed eligible must provide the following:

- Contact information

- Current transcript from a high school within the city of Miramar (Public/Private)

- 500 - 750 word essay on a Criminal Justice topic (changes each year)

- A recommendation letter from a teacher or

school resource officer from their high school

All material must be submitted to Sergeant Parker at [email protected]. The 3-on-3 basketball tournament is our main fundraiser for Hoops 4 Hope. It is double elimination. The championship team will be awarded trophies and a $50.00 MasterCard for each player. The runner-up and third place teams will be awarded medals. If you're interested in participating in the basketball tournament the requirements are listed below:

- Must be 18 or older

- No more than 5 players allowed on a team

- All players must wear the same color shirt with a number on the back (not provided)

- Pay $100.00 team registration fee
