Minnesota CLE Minnesota CLE provides quality education and resources for legal professionals.

Minnesota CLE seminars are offered at our state-of-the-art conference center in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, other replay locations throughout Minnesota, and online via live web casts. They include half-day, full-day, multi-day sessions, typically divided into segments of various lengths. Seminars are planned and coordinated by our staff programmers and planning committees, who work with the MSBA sections to identify topics, content, and presenters. Sessions are taught by legal professionals who generally volunteer their services. In addition to programs addressing substantive areas and legal procedures, Minnesota CLE offers programs in legal ethics, elimination of bias, law office management, and professional development. Our annual multi-day Institutes offer comprehensive coverage of developments in such areas as real estate, employment, taxation, probate and trust, intellectual property, and family law.

After lunch, breakouts completed the final sessions of the 2026 Elder Law Institute: "Medicaid Asset Protection" with Brenna M. Galvin; "Who Are the Players in Elder Law? Day 2 of the 2026 Elder Law Institute began with Cameron R. Kelly's plenary "Best Practices for Navigating E-Estate Planning Documents, Remote Notarization and Travel Notaries", followed by a Bias credit session: "Cross-Cultural Conflict Resolution" with Sharon B. Press.

Our final breakout sessions of the 2026 Elder Law Institute were: "Issues in Hospital Discharge" with Kelly Jo Greiner and Dr. Matthew Stofferahn, (online), and Cathrey D. Reher moderating; and "Special Needs Trusts, ABLE Accounts and Pooled Trusts – What is Each and How Do They Work Together?" with Martha Amdahl, Katrina Pierce and Jim Wolverton.

It's the 2026 Elder Law Institute, live Monday and Tuesday at the Minnesota CLE Conference Center! Institute Chair Jill Sauber along with Minnesota CLE's Siira Gunderson introduced our first presenter, Suzanne M. Scheller, who spoke on "2026 Minnesota Legislative and Case Law Update". Next was a morning Mental Health/Substance Use credit session, "Personal Safety and Wellness for Elder Law Attorneys" with Richard L. Hendrickson, Todd C. Scott & Jon Tynjala. A remote ethics session was next: Nina A. Kohn spoke on "Who Is My Client When Practicing Elder Law? An Update to Professional Rule of Responsibility 1.14" An awards ceremony was next, and included longtime Minnesota CLE presenter Julian Zweber!
