Global Worship: Uniting Christians in Worship across Cultural Boundaries

Global Worship is a concert of worship featuring musicians from many cultures around the world. This annual event is hosted by St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at 1901 Portland in Minneapolis, a historic church with a strong emphasis on the Gospel and in both global and local missions.

Each event showcases 8-10 different musical groups from all corners of the globe, including Ethiopia, Nigeria, Liberia, Formosa, Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar, Nepal, Latin America, Russia and the USA. People from everywhere worshiping together is an amazing experience for everyone!

Each year we honor a Twin Cities leader who has made significant contributions in cross-cultural ministry. Past recipients of the Global Worship BridgeBuilders Award are Robert Robinson, Dan & Sandy Adler, Rev. Cher Moua, Gordon & Sheila Thayer, Rev. Chuck Fenrick, Sarah Wippich, and Rev. Roland J. Wells.

Another component of Global Worship is the Ministry Fair, where different non-profit organizations around the Twin Cities area can get exposure in the wider diverse community.
