We mourn the loss of our fellow musician, wonderful pianist and a superb teacher, who has been a kind friend to the competition, Reid Smith. For many years Reid has helped us by evaluating performances for the e-Piano Junior FESTIVAL. Reid's hospitality and charm were legendary, as he and LaWayne opened up their home and hearts for the members of the e-Competition Jury. We will miss him dearly, and will always remember his kindness and friendship.

Here is a snapshot of Reid - writing comments for the young pianists, as he, together with Dr. Tompkins, was conducting the selection of the Masterclass participants for the e-Piano Junior Festival in 2019.
