Happy New Year! Associated with a new year is the belief in new possibilities. With that said, I'm going to give retirement a shot. My business is closing down. I have been trying to sell it the last year. The latest interested party just said "pass," hence the official announcement. My co-packers (a company that produces your product for you) are closing their business due to a serious illness. I've decided I'm too old to start over and I'm tired. I've known this time would eventually arrive and I wrote down some thoughts I wanted to share. People I wanted to thank for helping me over the years. When I got to page 4, and nowhere near done, I decided that probably wasn't the best approach.
THANK YOU to everyone who helped me dice, chop, load/unload (and repeat again and again) for Farmers Markets & Festivals, did demos for me, took me out to eat, and who listened to me complain about being so overwhelmed. And of course, thank you to all the people who bought my jam...you are the reason I made it for nine years with a final count of 210 stores and several restaurants. Your support of small local businesses makes a huge impact on our success. Please continue to keep that in mind when you're shopping. Each sale counts, a lot. They work so hard, money is very tight, it is a 24/7 commitment with personal sacrifices. I have met so many great small business owners over the years and we all support each. Ok, I'm getting close to page 2.
I will leave you with...My last jam went out before Xmas...I believe most stores still have product...but when that's gone, that's it. For a list of stores, please visit my website pamspepperjam.com.
Again, thank you for supporting me in this journey! I am grateful for the opportunity to have met so many wonderful people over the years. I wish you all the best!
