JUDSON MUSIC SERIES Historic Judson Church presents folk, jazz, choral, popular and classical performances in a beautiful space with great acoustics.

The Judson Music Series brings great musical performances to south Minneapolis in an intimate setting with great acoustics. Here you'll find folk, classical, jazz, popular and religious music - instrumental and voice - solo and ensembles. Presented in the sanctuary of the historic Judson Memorial Baptist Church, the Judson Music Series has offered such varied performances as Sara Thomsen's beloved

Winter Solstice, Bill Chouinard on the great organ, jazz ensembles, the Barberry Coast Band, recitals, choral works like the Rutter REQUIEM and the HOLOCAUST CANTATA and, for forty years, the annual Minneapolis Trombone Choir Concert.

Thirty-five of the area's top trombonists are rehearsing for the big show, even as you read this. Enjoy classical, big band, light jazz, show tunes and more, including a few original compositions by some of our performers. All of this on a delightful Sunday mid-afternoon.

General admission and open seating at the door. Donations gratefully accepted ($15 suggesred). Accessible entrance on Harriet; elevator access.

For the second year the Peace Jubilee Concert is a part of the 10 Days Free From Violence, celebrating and participatinge in nonviolent activities all around the Twin Cities. (https://twincitiesnonviolent.org)

The Peace Jubilee concert will be a celebration of American Jazz presented by The Capri Big Band, a 28-piece band from north Minneapolis. The Capri Big Band’s mission is to interject a positive role model in the community by encouraging and improving musical opportunities in the Minneapolis community. They have a unique sound and jazzy soulfulness sprinkled with a little tradition. They are diverse in the areas of gender, race, age, abilities.

Folk singer, songwriter and recording artist Bill Staines returns to the intimate setting of the historic Judson Church for a concert of America''s favorite folk music. "America's Troubadour"', Bill Staines has written more than 300 songs, some of which have been recorded by Peter, Paul & Mary, Makem and Clancy and more.
