Do you love buttons?! I do! I have been collecting them for years & they are so cozy to me. We use them for decor, projects, and they hold amazing memories for me as my grandma always had large collections of buttons I would sit and play with for hours. Maybe the most beautiful part of finishing this quilt was not simply seeing it completed, but the feeling it left in my heart. I was very happy, and at the same time I felt emotional in a way that is hard to explain. There is a quiet kind of pride that comes with finishing a quilt that carries the meaning of a Quilt of Valor. Every piece of fabric, every seam, every line of quilting seemed to remind me that this is more than a handmade finish. It is a gesture of gratitude. And honestly, being able to give a small part of myself to something so meaningful is something I feel deeply thankful for.
