Midtown Global Jazz Festival Inaugural Midtown Global Jazz Festival at Midtown Global Market Sheraton Midtown Music & after party - live music from 6 - 10PM on the patio.

The inaugural Midtown Global Jazz Festival will feature a wide-variety of world-renowned jazz musicians, performing outdoors directly outside of Midtown Global Market. This event will also celebrate the fifth anniversary of the opening of the Midtown Exchange building, which is home to the Chicago Lofts, Midtown Exchange Apartments, Allina Hospital and Clinic’s headquarters, and the Midtown Global

Twin Cities Jazz Society Youth Stage:
1:15 - Respective Sounds Convergence Summit, lead by bassist Sam Wildenauer (of the South High Band & jazz combo), Will Nelson - South High will be playing guitar and percussion & Regan Flannery from Perpich Arts High will be playing keyboard.

3:15 - Public New Sense: DeCarlo Jackson on trumpet (St. Paul Conservatory of Performing Arts); DeVante Jackson on tenor sax ( St Paul Central HS); Evan Slack on guitar (St Paul Conservatory of Performing Arts); Gavin Taylor-Stark on bass (St Paul Central HS); and Adam Sawyer on drums (St Paul Conservatory for Performing Arts).

5:15 Quentin Tschofen Quintet: Quentin Tschofen (piano, starting U W Eau Claire; http://quentintschofen.com/); Caleb McMahon (trumpet, New School for Jazz Studies in NY), Brad Allen (tenor sax, starting at Northwestern U), Jordan Jenkins (bass, starting at U W Eau Claire) and Cam LeCrone (drums, Northwestern U). Try the special event drink the "Patty Peterson Passion"!

In addition to the great jazz music, guests will enjoy tasty food from top Twin Cities’ locally-owned eateries. Visitors will also get the chance to shop dozens of local art vendors with tables overflowing with handmade jewelry, photography, painting, pottery and more.
