Our mission…To create and manage a multifunctional visual and performing arts center in Carson Valley to enhance the quality of life for the youth and community at large in the Western Nevada/Lake Tahoe region. The Carson Valley Arts Council was recognized and designated as the Local Arts Agency (LAA) for Douglas County by the Douglas County Board of Commissioners. The Carson Valley Arts Council is the has been funded, in part, by the Nevada Arts Council, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.

Call for Artists: Police Mural at the Reno–Tahoe International Airport. ✈️

The Reno-Tahoe International Airport Authority Arts at the Airport Program invites professional visual artists and artist teams to create a permanent, site specific mural for the new Police Training Room.

This is a rare opportunity to create lasting public artwork inside a major civic facility housing airport police operations, administrative offices, and public meeting spaces. The selected mural will become part of the airport’s permanent collection and help define a highly visible, high impact environment.

Budget: up to $20,000 all inclusive
Application Deadline: Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 2:00 PM PDT (RFP CLOSED)
