We’re officially ONE WEEK AWAY from Witches Ride Day! Here are a few Q&As to help you get ready for Saturday, October 25th!
Is the ride free? No. In order to participate in the ride, each individual rider must purchase a ticket and sign a waiver. Parade watchers and spectators do NOT have to purchase a ticket. We encourage the entire community to come out and watch the parade!
What are acceptable modes of transportation for the ride? Participants may walk, bike or ride in a golf cart or ATV/Side-by-Side. No tractors, trailers, or vehicles allowed.
Can my boyfriend or husband drive me in the parade? No. This is a women only, 18+ year old event.
What time does the ride start? The ride will start promptly at 6pm, in front of the Civic Center off Broadway Street.
Is the shopping market free? Yes. We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the 35+ shopping vendors that will be setup from 3:30-10:30pm on Saturday, October 25, in the Civic Center parking lot.
Is the After Party free? Yes. This year’s After Party (or Block Party) is free. You don’t want to miss out on all the fun as we will have the live variety band, Caravan, joining us this year with some spooky good tunes! The After Party will start immediately following the ride and will go until 10:30pm. Be sure to come prepared with cash as the shopping market and food trucks will be setup during the After Party as well as a face painter and 360 Photo Booth!
How can my kids participate? Kids are encouraged to participate as parade watchers. All of our riders have spook-tacular good throws - the best throws any parade has seen in north Louisiana! There’s a book reading at Parish Design Co of the Halloween themed book Evie by Anthony Lionel Mullins (3:30pm). And let’s not forget the Kids’ costume contest that will take place at 4:30pm in front of the Civic Center! The After Party will have fun music for the kids to enjoy as well as face painting and a 360 Photo Booth!
