A.J. Magoon makes his Next Act mainstage debut as Zalmy in TRAYF, reprising the role from our 2025 staged reading of the play. He has been seen onstage with Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Renaissance Theaterworks, Theatre Gigante and other Milwaukee-area companies. A.J. is also Next Act Theatre's Marketing Director and was a founding member of Summit Players Theatre, a traveling Shakespeare company operating in the Wisconsin State Parks. Announcing: Blacktop at It’s Alive! 🎶

We’re wrapping up the It’s Alive! season with Blacktop, the Milwaukee-based writing and recording project of multi-instrumentalist and producer Austin Wood.

Join us Thursday, September 3 for the final It’s Alive! performance of the season, live on the MCHS patio. Blacktop’s dreamy blend of folk and surf rock features soft-spoken vocals, washed-out guitars, acoustic percussion, and field recordings.

We're at the halfway point in our annual Next Actors summer theatre intensive. Our students have finished up two weeks of interviews with Milwaukeeans like John McGivern, Christopher Gilbert and numerous other community members and are beginning to assemble an original performance piece based on the transcripts! We can't wait to share "small, easy, simple good: The Interview Project" with you in two more weeks.
