❤️ **MILLIS — THANK YOU.**

What an incredible night.

The **first Millis Community Day** is officially in the books, and we could not have asked for a better community to show up and make it what it was.

Thank you to everyone who came out tonight — to the families who spread out their blankets and stayed awhile, the kids who played and explored, the dunk tank excitement, everyone who grabbed dinner or a treat, shopped with our local makers, visited our businesses and community organizations, watched the demonstrations and simply spent the evening together.

**This is exactly what we hoped Community Day could be.**

A huge thank you to our vendors, food vendors, sponsors, volunteers, performers and demonstrators, the Town of Millis, Millis Police, Millis Fire Rescue, and everyone else who gave their time, resources, ideas and energy to help us create something brand new.

And yes, we know many of you were excited to see the MedFlight helicopter! 🚁 Unfortunately, the crew was called away for a medical flight, and thunderstorms along their route later made it unsafe for them to join us. While we were disappointed not to have them, **when MedFlight has somewhere more important to be, that's exactly where we want them.** We are grateful they had planned to be part of our day and hope we'll have another opportunity in the future.

Most of all, thank you to **Millis** for showing up.

Tonight we got to watch an idea become a community event.

And judging by the crowd we saw tonight...

**we think we're going to have to do this again. ❤️**

❤️ **A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERS**

Before the very first Millis Community Day gets underway today, we want to recognize some of the people who have helped make this event possible from the very beginning.

A huge thank you to the **Town of Millis, Millis Police Department and Millis Fire Rescue** for their support, guidance and hands-on help throughout the planning and organization of Community Day.

This truly has been a community effort.

🚓 **Millis Police Department** has been an incredible partner throughout the planning process, generously sponsored today's **bounce house**, and will be joining us for the **K-9 demonstration at 6:00 PM.**

🚒 **Millis Fire Department* has worked alongside us to help plan and prepare for today's event and will be joining us with fire prevention information and education.

🏛️ **The Town of Millis** has supported us throughout the planning process and is even keeping **Town Hall available for restroom access during Community Day** after Town offices close early at 3:00 pm today.

So much of what goes into creating an event like this happens long before anyone arrives at the park. It's meetings, planning, problem-solving, logistics and a whole lot of people asking, **"What can we do to help?"**

When we started planning Community Day, the goal was to create something **by our community, for our community** — and this is exactly what that looks like.

To the Town, Police and Fire: **thank you for helping us turn an idea into something our whole community gets to enjoy today.** ❤️

The very first **Millis Community Day** is happening **TODAY!**

Come hungry. Bring the kids. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and make yourself comfortable. Shop local, try something new, catch a demonstration, grab dinner, meet your neighbors and spend the evening with us at the park.

🎉 TOMORROW, MILLIS!

After months of planning, organizing, meetings, emails, spreadsheets, volunteers, vendors, sponsors and about a million tiny details...

The very first Millis Community Day is TOMORROW!

Come hungry. Bring the kids. Bring a blanket and make yourself comfortable. Shop local. Try something new. Watch a demonstration. Grab some dinner. Meet your neighbors. Wander around and discover businesses and organizations right here in our community.

Then find a spot on the grass, spread out your blanket, enjoy your food and stay awhile. ❤️

Come for an hour or spend the whole evening with us. There’s no particular way you’re supposed to “do” Community Day. Just come enjoy Millis.

We have demonstrations happening throughout the evening on the field, so here's the schedule to help you make sure you don't miss something you want to see!

🐕 6:00 PM – Millis Police Department K-9

🚁 PLUS: THE HELICOPTER!
Expected to land between 4:45–5:00 PM and remain on-site until approximately 6:30 PM.

Music all night will be provided by Music Matters DJ and Party Services
