Holmes County's America 250 Celebration

Holmes County's America 250 celebration is in the books! Last night's performance with American Musical Productions and the Drone light show by Pyrotechnico were a huge success!!! Huge thanks to them and everyone who came out to see the show. Another huge shout out to Flags for Freedom for decorating the expo building and entry with flags. Giant thanks to Holy Lederhosen and Exclusively Yours for being the food vendors. Thanks to the speakers: Commissioner Dave Hall, State Representative Mark Hiner, Mayor Kelly Hoffee and reenactor Ken Hammondtree who portrayed George Washington. Also, The Holmes Center for the Arts performers were fabulous but unfortunately my phone died so I didn't get a picture if them. Thank you to Congressman Troy Balderson and Max Miller for sending videos since they couldn't be present.

The partnership with the Holmes County Veterans Services was a key asset.

We couldn't have done this without the cooperation of Harvest Ridge.

Drones are preparing for the show tonight.... American Musical Productions productions will kick off the evening at the Stage on the Green, there is bleacher seating at the stage or you can bring your own chairs or blankets. The Music will tart at 8:30pm and the Drone Light show will start right around 9:30 to pair with the finale of the band. Join us for a great evening at Harvest Ridge.
A couple notes:
The Grandstands are blocked off because that is the location of the set off of the drones. Please respect the barriers.

The Best view will be at the Stage on the green area to the parking lot looking slightly west of the stage.

Please no other drones in the area for the show.

We'll be posting a listing with times and more information this evening and anyone who will be part of the reverse parade, touch a truck or craft vendor should expect an email with directions later today as well!

There's still time, and if you need to set up, leave, and then come back to tear down, that is possible! Also this welcomes creativity!

Part of the Celebration is what we're calling a "Reverse Parade" Instead of having a parade in town where there are floats that are moving, it will be inside the Expo building at Harvest Ridge. Each entrant will have a space that they can get creative with! If you want just a table and a few chairs, that's fine, if you want to have your group up and active and interacting with folks, that's great! If you want to hand out candy or promotional items, that's fine as well! You the "floats" will be stationary and the people will move through. Be creative, have fun and we look forward to any businesses, organizations participating! For all those fire trucks, police cars, big rigs, any kind of machinery you think kids and parents alike would want to see, mark it and there's going to be a special place just outside the expo building so the kiddos can still experience all the sirens and light and cool big vehicles, just more up close and personal!
We will also have a separate area with certain organizations with demonstrations and things that require a calmer environment for discussions, so if you're someone like that, reach out and there's a different form for that!

Do you make crafts, especially anything patriotic? We have booth space for you to sell your goods! If you do any kind of sales like Pink Zebra, or Norwex or something like that, we will limit them as we are aware that the company only allows one sales person at an event. There is no cost, and it's a one day event. Set up 8:30am-9:30am. As noted on the form, it is outside so if you want a tent you'll need to bring that!
