The Miller Thriller.

Proof that western heritage and a good Saturday night can still exist in the same place.

Kids chasing sheep. Bulls doing bull things. A red dirt band. A showcase of the businesses that invest in this town and the volunteers who refuse to sit still.

September 12th - we’ll see you there.

Just a group of students, volunteers, and donors deciding a couple sets of bleachers probably deserved a better future.

Huge thank you to the Miller FFA Chapter students who spent part of their school days helping rebuild them, Modern Woodmen Chapter 1115 Tember Beckett, Farmland Building Supply for helping with supplies, and all the volunteers who pitched in along the way.

Almost to 1,000 likes which feels mildly concerning for the amount of nonsense we post on here.

So naturally… let’s do another merch giveaway.

Like the page. Share the post. Tag someone who’d wear free stuff! We’ll pick a winner when we hit 1,000

We really thought bull riding under the lights would be enough. Then Headliner Sponsor - Fawcett Enterprises — Josh Fawcett, C & B Operations - South Dakota, Country Vet Jennifer Poindexter-Runge & Midwest Vet came along and said nah, keep it going.

Huge thank you to them for bringing Carson Jeffrey to the Miller Thriller on September 12!

Looking back at last year…

Shoutout to Lynn Johnson, The Prairie Woman, who showed up, didn’t ask for a dime, and just documented the entire night like it was her civic duty. No invoice. No complaints. Just straight candid chaos coverage from start to finish.

And Sarina Coyle Photography casually gave us overhead video like we knew what we were doing.

A couple Miller C & C members doing top tier work — we appreciate the willingness on a whole upper level.

So… do we request their presence and talents again this year?!

Reminiscing on last years thriller makes us think of Sydney Asmus, Brylee Wallman, Kate Lichty, Carter Fanning & Terrell Schlechter (Miller FFA Volunteers.) If something looked halfway put together they had a hand in it.

We basically just pointed at things and they said, “yeah we got it.” No complaints, no attitude…honestly a little concerning how positive they were about it.

Not all heroes wear capes, some just get handed random jobs and don’t run away. We’ll be recruiting again soon for “whatever needs done” positions. Know a group that needs a fundraiser that will build character? Give us a shout.
