Each year we partner with a school or club to provide the opportunity for young gamers (“Phoenix Fledglings”) to enjoy a day as special VIPs at our convention! We show young gamers, who may otherwise not have the opportunity, that there is a large community of people who share their interests, that they have a place where they belong in those interests and to have fun! We’re bringing our best game and we want yours! We can’t do this without those of you who we call GAMEMASTER! We want and need your games! RPGs! BOARD GAMES! CARD GAMES! LARPS! MINIATURE GAMES! SEMINARS! PANELS! SPECIAL EVENTS! BRING THEM ALL! Our insatiable attendees eagerly await your offerings!

With some creative shifting, we’ve doubled our Board Game Space this year, so get ready to game! Our Library is over 400 games now!

Our Catan National Qualifier had 28 board gamers going head to head for a chance to win a ticket to the Nationals in Minneapolis in Early September.
The rounds narrowed down to the last table with Andrew Scott, Meghan Lanni, Ian Dembsky and Nam Hoang rolling off for the win. Congratulations go to Andrew Scott, who took the title and the ticket to the Nationals!

We thank Catan Studios and all the players involved and a big shout out to Rob Kircher, who ran the whole event for us!
We're very proud to be one a of a few conventions in New England who are able to bring this event to our players!

Greetings All!

Rising Phoenix GameCon2024 was just incredible! It was a huge success because of all of YOU; our Community of Gamers who are our Convention! We have officially doubled in size in 3 short years to 600 attendees! The positive hum throughout the con was captivating and the energy it produced was spellbinding!

A huge thanks to all of our Attendees for joining us, you make our Convention; your happy faces and heartfelt remarks mean so much to us and make us proud of the Community of Gamers we have built together!

To our Gamemasters of all kinds, thank you for all your hard work to challenge and excite your players and make engaging events for all. You are the Heart of our Convention!

To our Vendors, we are overjoyed by the camaraderie shown amongst the vendors and their eagerness to help us make this the best event we can. Their boundless creativity brings a wonderful selection of items to our attendees.

To our Organized Play Groups who worked so hard to bring exciting events to our attendees, your tireless work is greatly appreciated, and we look forward to long standing relationships with you for years to come.

To all of our Special Events groups, whether its Panels, Painting Miniatures, Yoga, Tarot or Special Games and Karaoke, you bring something More to our convention than just gaming, adding exciting choices of non-traditional events. You make us special and different.

To our Sponsors, your help is crucial to us to make our event viable and bring amazing items to our attendees and again this year to continue our program of helping young men and women experience a day as a VIP at a convention and further the love of gaming to a new generation.

To our Volunteers, those few that sacrifice their time gaming for their love of being part of something special, we thank you wholeheartedly for being part of our Family. We have plans for even better perks for next year.

To our guest this year, Steve Kenson, your 30 years of writing and publishing gaming systems and books and your humbleness sharing your wealth of experience with our attendees was inspiring to all of us. A special thanks for all you did for the Con.

To our Boardgamers, we have heard you and have plans for next year that will make you feel it. We’re working to make the board game room larger and increase our 250 board game library even more, so make your plans to join us in 2025.

Our Silent Auction this year was a great success for Extra Life!

In memory of John Brosnahan, we ran an auction of his collection of game books from the 40+ years he gamed!

We collected $725.00 to be donated in John's memory to Extra Life!

We thank his family and his friend Brian Courtemanche, who made all this possible!

John's treasured books will continue to bring happiness to gamers for years to come and the funds will help the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals through Extra Life!

For the second year now we had an awesome group of young adults get sponsored to join the Con on Friday!
17 great young men and woman played games and then joined together to save the city in a swirling battle against the forces of evil!
One of our favorite things is to see the huge positive ffect that gaming can have on young folks; teaching life skills in math, problem solving, team building, conflict resolution and so much more!

Announcing the Rising Phoenix GameCon 2024 “Big John” Memorial Auction
Our Silent Auction this year is special, we have a large selection of Roleplaying Books from the personal collection of John Brosnahan. We will be donating the proceeds from this auction in his name to Extra Life. We have several bundles of RPG books mostly from the earlier days of Dungeon and Dragons, including a few box sets, lots of Ravenloft and Dragonlance modules, and many single titles of note.

All of that and a one-of-a-kind cover by Artist Chet Minton (he's recovering from being kept in a dark basement on a diet of Malort and Spam until he was done)
