Hey all. Have you heard that there is a NEW Open Mic in town. Well...old open mic revived at a new public place anyway. Milford Open Mic is now at the Frisky Goat Coffeehouse on Saturday nights at 7 p.m. Musicians and music enthusiasts--please come out and jin in the fun, grab a latte or some sweet treats and enjoy! Calling our musicians. Join us for an acoustic circle jam in Milford at the upper mill building near the Waterwheel. A great time to chill-out, make music and collaborate. And watch for the date for the return of our OPEN MIC. We will be changing venues for awhile as Alice's in the upper mill is graciously offering to host us. We look forward to gathering the community and tons of great music. Watch for the February date! Woohoo....

Hello Open-Mic family!!! I hope everyone has been enjoying the summer. There has been a lot going on musically this summer, from Milford Music in the Parks, networking with a bunch of musicians in the tri-state area, and some of our open mic regulars playing open mics around the area. I have been working toward an open mic reunion to feature a few acts and with a 12 spot open-mic list. It looks like we will have a popular band you will all recognize and some other familiar acts on board. Money raised will help compensate the band loaning sound equipment and additional money raised will go toward the purchase of sound equipment for our future open mic program. Exciting changes are on the horizon. Keep posted for dates,times and costs. It will be amazing.

So...I am thinking of having an open-mic get-together/reunion night sometime in late July or early August. It would be at our prior venue--the Borough Hall-- Party style or maybe bring a dish/treat to share style...with dance music, and an open mic list. What I would like to hear from you is who thinks they would be interested AND...and I'd want a list of dance songs that you all love, so I can create an updated list. Chime in...

Well, my friends, the time has come... we'll be taking a break from our open mic and closing the doors for at least the summer. It's time for us to focus on the band (Los Huevos) and future possibilities and in order for us to do that--we need to close our doors so we can spend our energy and resources elsewhere. This Friday--June 14th--will be our last open mic of the season. We hope to make a strong comeback in the fall--so stay tuned. In the meantime--join us this Friday for our last open mic of the summer... hope to see you all there.
