Good Shepherd Episcopal Church
What happens to your literary works when you pass away? How do you make sure that they can live on long after you’re gone? This workshop will explain this to you.
Some questions that I will address include: How do I know if my work is covered under copyright? What happens if I do not appoint an heir to my literary estate? What if I want my work to be freely available for anyone to read or use? A family member has left me their literary estate, so what do I need to do now?
Literary agent Vaughne Hansen has years worth of experience in dealing with literary estates on behalf of the Virginia Kidd Agency and their clients. She has learned what can go wrong and what can go right with any literary estate.
Come and bring your questions. In addition to sharing stories of navigating copyrights, publishing rights, and literary estates, there will be a Q&A session.
