What a great evening at Fridays After Five! We had the pleasure of welcoming What It Is Band to Fowler Field, where they kept the crowd dancing all night long. With fantastic music, a wonderful turnout, and perfect weather, it was a memorable night for everyone who joined us.

Congratulations to Evjoy Bakery and Catering!
Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce celebrates ‘Evjoy’ Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
West Haven, CT- The Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the new location of Evjoy Bakery and Catering, a catering service that provides baked goods and specialty foods.
Evelyn Castro started her catering business as a Cottage Food Operator, operating from home. She started focusing on cookies and breads, and eventually expanded to different sandwiches and appetizers. One of the things that makes Evjoy Bakery and Catering so special is its mission to use clean and local ingredients. All foods are free from additives and artificial ingredients, making the food guilt-free and good for your gut and heart.
Evelyn built her commercial kitchen upstairs from her brother’s business, Castro Oasis, at 80 Prindle Road, West Haven, CT. After months of planning and building, Evelyn was finally able to open her kitchen for public viewing today.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was celebrated with friends and family, along with Sheila Carmon, W.H. Heath Department Director, CT State Rep. M.J. Shannon, and members of the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce.
If there is anything Evelyn wants the community to know, it is that her biggest passion is making food from scratch. By making everything from scratch and additive-free, she has felt happier and healthier and wants to share that with others through her food. “If anyone’s looking for scratch-made, healthier, premium ingredient options, then I’d love them to consider Evjoy and me. Especially cookies, I can deliver, and I can ship them nationwide, and I have giftboxes”, quote from Evelyn.
