This week is the week!! We are SO excited our Backyard Bash is finally here and we hope you are too! There’s still time to sign up for the parade (even the day of!) if you or your group are interested in having a moment in the spotlight down Jones Street.

A reminder that while the Little Mr & Miss competition and the Citizens State Bank champion savers presentation will be held at the bandshell, the kidz zone will be set up at the little league baseball fields. Parking will be available in Mowrey’s lot on the South side. Please enter from Grant or Glenn Ave onto Iroquois Street, as Grove Street will be blocked off starting at Frederick Street.

Remember that we have a golf cart scavenger hunt planned for your Sunday afternoon! Meet at the parking lot behind the police station at 1 to get your first clue. Who would you want on your team?? Tag them in the comments below so we have an idea of how many teams we should expect!! ⬇️⬇️

Meet your 2026 grand marshal, Frank Hines!

We’re sure you all know Frank but if not, let us introduce you! Born and raised in Milford the son of Fred and Arlene Hines, he was joined by siblings Sue, Fred, and Marty. He continues to reside in Milford with his wife, Karry, with whom he shares daughters Emily and Jessica.

Along with Milford Grade School and Milford High School, he attended Danville Area Community College. Today, you can find him working with his brother Fred at Hines Automotive.

He has and continues to serve on many committees and boards that contribute to our community! These include past President of Milford Jaycees, former trustee of the Village of Milford, past President of the Illiana Pullers Association, Milford ESDA, current chief of the Milford Fire Department, EMT on the Milford Ambulance Service, and Vice President of the Eastern Illinois Mutual Aid Association.

We are grateful for all the time Frank spends giving back to our community. He is truly a great role model for those looking to get involved and give back to the people and the place that raised them. We are honored to call him our 2026 Milford Fun Days grand marshal! If you see him out and about, give him a big congratulations!! Thank you for all you do, Frank!

Join us as we kick off this year’s Backyard Bash with an exciting lineup of live music.

Opening the event Friday night is Logan Kirby.

The fun continues Saturday with local favorite Hayden Courville, followed by Kolten Taylor and the Truck Toppers.

Admission is $10 per night.
Only 21+ in the beer tent.
